Comment Policy

You wanna comment? Something I wrote resonate with you? Or perhaps the opposite? Fine by me, but read this first.

Commenting is a privilege open to all as long as you're being polite and furthering a discussion in a well thought out manner. Good spelling and grammar is not necessary, but appreciated. What is not appreciated, however are comments of a derogatory nature, which will be edited or removed swiftly. This means trolling comments and ones that are oppressive or insulting in nature. There is a zero-tolerance policy here for racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ablism, agism, sizism, hate speech, rape apologia, rape jokes/metaphors, threats, trolling and derailing. DON'T DO IT.

If this policy seems too oppressive to you, if it doesn't quite suit your fancy then don't post. And don't bother wringing your hands and telling me about free speech. I understand the concept of "free speech". I used to think of myself as a defender of "freedom of speech". I was an asshole.

In short, if you're polite and want to debate or chime in, by all means, do so. But if you're just going to be an aggressive jerk, don't bother. And don't bother flaming the ol' inbox either. You will be blocked and you will have accomplished nothing.
